Best Friends

His wife of 43 years was doing her makeup as they drove up the bridge.

"Dear, you happen to use my lipstick lately? I'm missing it ..," she scuffled through her purse without looking up.

"No dear, its color's not my type," he faked a sly feminine tone. They both chuckled.
My Mom and Dad have a comforting intimacy about them. I am grateful to have witnessed the daily bantering and small talks between them... They're my best friends, too.

Writer's Block
